Position Objective

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Revenue’s goal is to increase the sales of the company and provide a sales/marketing strategy. The Director of Revenue trains and manages the Sales and Applications teams. This role is a blend of strategic and tactical decision making, and you will work with company leadership to define the future shape of our revenue team. Key Accountabilities

  • Accountability for increasing the company’s capacity to grow revenues and meet/exceed specific, measurable goals (over and above core recurring revenues) including producing new business and promoting additional sales to existing customers
  • Sales forecasting, new business opportunities and analyzing financial data that will help make informed decisions about potential new business and the market in general
  • Manage, train, develop and lead the Applications and Sales teams through day-to-day operations, as well as strategically guide the teams to achieve department and company goals
  • Development of an annual tactical revenue development plan with defined action steps, a realistic timeline and clear goals
  • Complete and analyze sales reports for the Executive Team
  • Record and analyze all refused, lost, cancelled or waitlisted business
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer base
  • Ensure effective communication and quoting is conducted to maximize on all possible opportunities and minimize risk
  • Client relations with established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the company’s services
  • Provide Finance and Administration with the information necessary to generate the invoices in compliance with the terms of the contract
  • Ensure timely, accurate, technical quotations of drive systems, automation systems, fabrication jobs, and motors, resulting in profitable job pricing
  • Cost and expense control as it relates to Sales and Marketing
  • Responsible for conducting competitive analysis of competition

Note: The key accountabilities are not an exhaustive list and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales or Engineering
  • 10+ years of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Minimum 5 years as a Department Leader in the Revenue Management discipline
  • Ability to lead and train others
  • Data driven and highly analytical, with a thirst to rigorously measure and improve sales and marketing
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • High-energy and must be a self-starter with a new business mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CRM experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. Ability to effectively present information to top management
